The District Consumer Redressal Forum, Malkangiri is functioning in its own building at Malkangiri head quarters. The President, DCDRF is maintaining all official works alongwith the consumer welfare matters with the assistance of the staff. The Civil Supplies  Officer, Malkangiri is the drawing Officer for drawal of salary for the President, Members and other staff of this Forum. The Collector, Malkangiri is the Chairman of District Consumer Council where the Addl. District Magistrate is the District Consumer Protection Officer to short out any consumer related matters. The Consumer Counseling Center is functioning in the office of the President, DCDRF, Malkangiri and the said counseling center is being functioned through the NGO, HARMONY, Malkangiri. Sri Durga Prasad Tripathy, Executive Secretary of the said NGO has been nominated as the member of the said counseling center by the Government in FS&CW Department with remuneration of Rs.3000/- per month.

                Funds are being received from the Government in FS&CW Department time to time on Consumer Welfare matters. This district is receiving funds for undertaking the following works/programmes which are consumer related affairs.
