The District Agriculture Office, Malkangiri is established during the year 1983 in Govt. building office situated near Danda Karanya Chowk on the way of Medical Road 1.5 Kms apart from Malkangiri Bus Stand. This office comes under the Director of Agriculture and food production, Odisha, Bhubaneswar and is functioning under the administrative control of the Deputy Director of Agriculture, Malkangiri. As this district possesses one of the best reservoir i.e, Satiguda and Poteru river sources of Water in Odisha. The Agriculture Department has been playing a vital role to increase the Agricultural production and improve the financial status of the tribal farmers of this district, by adopting new modern technology.
